    • A squire and landowner in Tourouvre, other members of the family for several generations seemed to have been employed as crossbowmen for the King of England, and were living in London. Pierre appeared often in notarial records, taking care of business of buying and selling and renting property for his relatives (? uncles or brothers?) who were off in London.
      King of England was Henry VIII until 1547, then came Edward VI from 1547 - 1553, then on his death, half-sister Mary I deposed his chosen heir to become queen.
      He had a son, Jehan, who was noted as attending the university of Paris in one transaction.
